When your business outgrows Shared Photoshoots

When Your Brand Outgrows shared Photoshoots

Shared photoshoots are a brilliant way to dip your toe in the water. They’re usually low-pressure, cost-effective, and a great place to start if you’re building your confidence in front of the camera. You’ll often see them offered as part of networking events or like I used to offer, as part of a membership.

But what happens when your brand evolves and you need something more tailored, more strategic, and more you?

That’s exactly what happened with Maisie.

From shared photoshoots to personal brand session

Maisie was one of the very first people to join Visibility School. She joined the membership for group photoshoots designed to help female business owners stop hiding, feel more confident showing up online, and get a bank of high-quality images they could actually use.

And while that shoot gave her some beautiful results (erm obviously), it quickly became clear that her brand needed more. Though group shoots can be great to get a few quick snaps you’ll often find that you’re stuck with the location that the photographer chooses, have very little time one-to-one with the photographer, so it can be quite limiting.

Maisie supports businesses using EMDR therapy – helping founders and teams process emotional blocks, navigate change, and lead with clarity and confidence. It’s powerful work that requires a huge amount of presence, sensitivity, and trust. So naturally, she needed photos that reflected that.

Why a one-to-one shoot made all the difference

Booking a full branding shoot meant we had the time and space to shape everything around her. From location to outfits to props and shot list, we planned every detail to match the calm, grounded, thoughtful energy that defines both Maisie and her work.

And because we’d already worked together before, Maisie came into this shoot with more clarity and confidence than ever. She knew what she wanted to feel in the images and I knew how to help her get there.

The results? A shoot that felt aligned, empowering, and totally her.

When to know you’re ready to step it up

Maybe your business has grown since your last shoot. Maybe your messaging has shifted. Maybe you’ve simply outgrown the visuals you started with, and now, you’re ready for something more intentional.

That’s not a step back. It’s a sign of progress.

Just like Maisie, you deserve photos that reflect where you’re headed—not just where you’ve been.

Curious what that could look like?

And if you’re ready to step into your next chapter with visuals that actually feel like you, I’d love to help.
