How to curate your brand photos for your website

Today we’re looking at How to curate your brand photos for your website.
If you’re looking to make your website stand out and showcase your brand in the best possible light, then curating your brand photos is a must!
Get inspired
Before you start curating your brand photos, take some time to get inspired by looking at other websites and brands that you admire. Check out their brand photography and see what you can learn from them.
Have they used an image that really stands out, or perhaps their branding colours are really prominent?
Start with you
Take a look at all the places on your website where you could add an image – or there already is an image.
- Do you need to think about the orientation of the image?
- Maybe you need an image with space to one side so you can put writing on it.
- Could you use an image the demonstrates what you’re talking about?
Branding Colours
Don’t underestimate the power of including your branding colours in your photos.
It can really bring the visual aesthetic of your website together. I love what Valentina Marsden has done with her images – she makes sure that any she uses of herself fit the tone and brand colours of her business.

Choose your hero images
Hero images are the big, bold images that take centre stage on your website. When choosing your hero images, pick ones that best represent your brand and make a statement.
This is usually the first photo that people see so you need it to be your favourite image too (or at least I think that’s important – you’re going to see it a lot).
Show off your personality
Your brand photos should reflect your personality and values, so don’t be afraid to get creative and show off your unique flair. Whether it’s using bold colours, quirky props, or a fun location, let your personality shine through.
Make it fun
Website visitors will spend more time on your site if they’re having fun, so make sure to include some playful and entertaining photos.
Edit, edit, edit
It’s easy to get carried away and include too many photos on your website, but remember that less is often more.
Be selective and choose the best photos that best represent your brand and tell your story.
Consistency is key
When curating your brand photos, make sure to keep the style and aesthetic consistent throughout your website. This will help to reinforce your brand and create a cohesive look and feel.
And don’t forget to resize them, and make sure you have added an alt description.
Curating your brand photos for your website is all about showing off your personality, making it fun, and being consistent. By following these tips, you’ll be able to create a website that truly reflects your brand and connects with your audience.
