Best Branding
photographer
There are thousands of photographers you could choose…
And they’ll talk about how a “picture tells a thousand words” or how you need to tell the story of your brand…
But the simple truth is that you’ll find at some point that you need professional photos.
Not because everyone else is doing it and it’s trendy. It’ll be because you’ve just started up your business or you’re creating/updating your website. Or maybe because you’re struggling to fill your Instagram feed or perhaps you’ve started approaching the media for PR opportunities or you just want people to literally recognise who you are.

And you’ll think “FFS” I’ve done ok without them so far…
But your web designer is insisting and PR people keep moaning that your iPhone photos aren’t high resolution and your social media manager has nothing to work with… and then on top of all that, you worry that you’re not quite the Instagram darling with balayage hair and legs like a super model…
And you’ll want someone who knows how it feels to not be 100% comfortable in front of the camera but also works with web designers, PR companies and marketing agencies.
Because, very few people are completely comfortable or know what they really need.
But most of all you’ll need someone who will be honest with you.
Who will tell you it isn’t working or that your bra strap is showing or that the slim fitted shirt that your wife bought you is fine when you’re stood up, but looks like your belly is trying to escape through the button holes at every opportunity when you sit down.
Someone who isn’t scared to photograph real people. With wrinkles, and podgy bits and ‘best sides” and real bodies. and will laugh with you at the utter ridiculousness of it all.
And won’t judge you for any of it.
Someone who wants to get some photos that you actually want to share… because they love it when people see themselves and go “ wow… I look ok in that one”.
And that’s what I offer.
It’s not always trendy, whimsical or particularly Pinterest worthy. It’s just YOU. But on a really good day

Tips for finding the best
Branding Photographer
Define Your Brand Story:
Before starting the search for a branding photographer, take the time to define your brand story. What values and messages do you want to convey? Understanding your brand identity will help you communicate effectively with potential photographers and ensure they can capture the essence of your business.
Research and Portfolio Evaluation:
Start your search by researching local branding photographers. Look for professionals with experience in capturing female-owned businesses. Review their portfolios to an idea of their style, creativity, and ability to tell a compelling visual story. Pay attention to the consistency and quality of their work, as this will give you an idea of what to expect.
Client Testimonials:
A good branding photographer should have positive client testimonials. Maybe reach out to their previous clients or look for reviews online to find out more about the overall experience. Testimonials can provide valuable information about a photographer’s ability to understand and meet the unique needs of female business owners
Communication and Collaboration:
Effective communication is key when working with a branding photographer. Most will offer a consultation or discovery call to discuss your brand vision, goals, and any specific requirements you may have. A photographer who values collaboration and listens to your input will likely deliver results that align with your brand identity.
Pricing and Packages:
While budget is a consideration, you don’t want to compromise on quality. Getting quotes from potential photographers and inquiring about their packages will ensure that the services offered align with your needs and that there are no hidden costs. Investing in professional brand photography is an investment in the long-term success of your business.
Personal Connection:
Building a personal connection with your branding photographer is essential. You’ll be working closely together to visually represent your brand, so feeling comfortable and understood is crucial. Choose a photographer who shares your enthusiasm for your business and is genuinely interested in bringing your brand to life through their lens.

I want you to love your photos & video, so you can’t wait to share them.
I’m not Anne Geddes and I’m certainly no David Bailey. People told Jasmine Star that she wasn’t very good because she blew out the details in the sky and I do that too.⠀I’m just a personal branding photographer who feels very lucky to meet lots of business owners and occasionally get recognised in some random cafe’s toilets.
I’m a sarky, down to earth 40 (plus) year old Yorkshire woman who loves to take photos of people. ⠀I don’t take them in far off fancy locations, or of women who should be models. I take photos of the women next door, who built her business from the kitchen table, escaped corporate life and barely has time to get her roots done.
