7 Things to Stop Doing in 2024

7 Things to Stop Doing in 2024

Here are the 7 things to stop doing in 2024:

Stop Using Stock Photos:

Stock photography can be great and there are some really great examples of free photos, but you often find that lots of other businesses have the same idea. So you’ll see the same photos being used again and again.

The Content Club can help you come up with your own branded stock style photos.

Stop Ignoring Your Brand’s Seasonality:

Your business evolves with the seasons, and so should your content. You’d probably think twice about posting a photo or video that was very obviously Christmassy. But the same can be said when you’re posting photos or b-roll that look very definitely from a ‘season’

Join The Content Club to capture the YOU each season through bespoke photo and video content.

Stop Wasting Time on DIY Photoshoots:

We’ve all tried to rope in our other half, or find a friend who will take a few photos for us.

I bet most people have even tried to do B-roll themselves too… I mean how hard can it be? The types of videos you want aren’t even that complicated. Except when it comes to it, its a complete pain! You cant seem to get an angle that looks flattering or something keeps interrupting you (like your dog or the doorbell).

So instead focus on growing your business rather than getting the perfect shot and leave it to The Content Club to save you time.

Stop the Inconsistency in Your Visual Branding:

Getting a consistent look across all the places you post can be difficult. You might have professional photos for your website, profile photos etc, but then you have video taken on an iPhone and the occasional selfie.

The Content Club can ensure that you get a regular flow of content including video and selfies too, all with a similar style.

Stop Overlooking the Power of Video:

Are you using video in your marketing? It doesn’t have to be the ‘talking head’ type video either. Just having a bank of b-roll can make your Instagram feed more interesting, and give your customers a more personalised behind the scenes view of who you are.

The Content Club includes not just photography but also video, enriching your content strategy.

Stop the One-Size-Fits-All Approach to Content:

Tailor your brand’s story to resonate with your ideal clients. Every quarter we’ll look at what’s happening in your business, what’s going on in your industry and how we can best share more about YOU.

The Content Club offers customised shoots that reflect your business’s unique character and appeal directly to your target market.

Stop Letting Your Content Strategy Stagnate:

Refresh your approach with quarterly content updates that keep your brand relevant and engaging.

The Content Club’s seasonal photoshoots ensure your content remains fresh and appealing year-round.

Right, let’s not beat around the bush. The Content Club is kicking off in early April, and spots are already being snapped up.

So if you want to banish the bland and make your brand’s visuals as standout. With bespoke photo and b-roll content that’s fresh and personalised just for you!

But here’s the thing – if you dilly-dally, you’ll miss out.

I’ve got limited spots because, frankly, I’m not about that mass-produced life. It’s about giving you and your brand the royal treatment, season after season.

Grab your spot before they’re all gone, and let’s make your brand the talk of the town. Or at least the talk of your target audience, which is even better.

And if you’re not quite ready, here are three other ways that I can help you:

1) Visit my blog for tips on VISIBILITY.

Every week I discuss strategies to improve your visibility, get over your fear of visibility and my latest shoots.  Read here

2) Plan a bespoke photoshoot.

We can plan a shoot based on what you actually need (read more) or you could join me at a Branding Day.

3) Join ‘Visibility School’.

Visibility school is a membership group where you get 12 months of photoshoots, a fab little Facebook group and lots of bonus content too. Read

Hi There!

Meet Maryanne

I’m a 40 (ahem something…) year old Yorkshire woman.

I’ve been self employed for 10 years (and a photographer for 18) and I totally understand how difficult it is to be visible in business.

Whether that’s because of a lack of self confidence, feeling a bit frumpy or the physical side effects of peri-menopause (hot sweats and forgetfulness anyone) – I promise you I’ve seen it all and still get great photos at every photoshoot.

I honestly feel so honoured when people book me, because they believe that I really want the best outcome for you. There’s no point having a fancy photoshoot if it doesn’t feel authentic to you.

My aim for every shoot is to get photos and video that you actually want to share… and I’ll be there in the side lines cheering you on!
