How to Keep Your Content Fresh All Year Round
As a business owner, you know that your content isn’t just about selling a product or a service; it’s about telling a story, building a relationship, and staying fresh in the minds of your customers.
But let’s face it, keeping your content fresh throughout the year can be pretty challenging.
So, how do you keep your content sparkling every season? Here are some tips — and why joining The Content Club might just the thing for YOU.
Plan with the Seasons
Aligning your content with the changing seasons keeps it relevant and engaging.
I don’t know about you, but I quite like to share images that work in the season I’m sharing it. It always feel a bit odd sharing summer photos in winter.
So maybe think about the calendar: light and airy for spring, vibrant for summer, cosy in autumn, and joyfully reflective as winter approaches.
This doesn’t mean overhauling your strategy every three months (though I can definitely help with that); it means finding natural ways to let the season’s spirit seep into your content.
Stay Ahead of Trends
Keeping a close eye on emerging trends is crucial.
When you use social media as much as most of us do, you’ll spot the seasonal trends. At times like Christmas it’s easy to see what the trends are. But there are loads of other times too that you can use.
In the UK the blossom trees are beautiful in April and make for beautiful backdrops, but dont forget times like school holidays or summer holidays.
Trends can sometimes not last too long, but from a seasonal perspective, there are things every year that we expect.
Repurpose with Purpose
Go through your existing b-roll footage and think about how it can be repurposed. Can a summer beach scene be used to highlight relaxation techniques for a wellness brand? Could footage from a local event be repurposed to show community involvement?
It an save you time if you have a bank of images and b-roll video always on hand to repurpose.
Colour Palettes
Regularly updating your visuals can feel a bit overwhelming. But perhaps just tweaking your colour palette for the new season might work for you?
Visuals are potent; they can make your content feel ‘just published’, even if it’s a recurring theme.
Embrace the Power of Storytelling
Use storytelling to infuse freshness into your content. A new customer success story, a case study, or a behind-the-scenes look at your company can all make familiar messages feel new.
Now, all these tips are well and good, but they require time, creativity, and a knack for storytelling and trendspotting.
This is where The Content Club comes into the picture. Think of it as your content’s personal trainer, keeping it in top shape, pushing its creativity to new limits, and ensuring it remains as fresh as the morning dew all year round.
Behind-the-Scenes Peeks
Everyone loves to see what’s going on behind the scenes. Regularly including b-roll of your team at work, the making of a product, or the setup of a photoshoot keeps your content fresh but also adds a layer of transparency and authenticity.
Joining The Content Club helps you to craft narratives, visual storytelling, and keeping a finger on the pulse of the latest trends. No more brainstorming sessions that lead nowhere; I’m here to provide a steady stream of fresh, bespoke content that speaks directly to your audience, reflects your brand, and moves with the seasons.
