7 Ways to elevate your brand photos

Here are 7 Ways to Elevate Your Brand Photos when you’re next planning a Personal Branding Photoshoot.

As I mention all the time, planning your photoshoot is THE most important part of the whole process. So there are the 7 ways to elevate your brand photos:

Location

The location of your photos can make a big difference in the overall look and feel of your brand.

If you’re a business coach you might need a xxxx house, with a pool or

But if you’re a graphic designer, you might want to take your photos in a modern, minimalist space. With lots of architectural lines and contrast.

When choosing a location, think about the overall aesthetic of your brand and what kind of feeling you want to evoke in your audience.

Here are a few ideas in this blog post Did you know we can hire a location for your photoshoot? | Maryanne Scott (brandingphotographer.co.uk)

Clothing

Your clothing can also help to communicate your brand message.

If you’re a fashion blogger, for example, you’ll want to wear stylish clothes that reflect your personal style.

If you’re charging a high ticket price you probably don’t want to look too laid back or scruffy. People are going to expect something more slick.

When choosing clothing for your photos, think about your target audience and what kind of impression you want to make.

You also want to make sure that the clothing is flattering and comfortable.

Hair & Makeup

Your hair and makeup can also help to enhance your appearance and make you look your best in your photos.

If you’re not sure how to do your own hair and makeup, you can always hire a professional like Chrys Chapman (who I use whenever I can for Branding photoshoots).

The great thing about Chrys is that she makes you still look like you… just you on a really good day!

Props

Props can be a great way to add visual interest to your photos and tell a story about your brand.

For example, if you’re a baker, you might want to use props like flour, sugar, and mixing bowls.

Or, if you’re a photographer, you might want to use props like cameras, lenses, and filters.

But you can also include props that tell a story about yourself. Your favourite drink or perfume will give away more than something generic.

Be Different

Don’t be afraid to be different with your brand photos. The more unique and creative your photos are, the more likely they are to stand out from the crowd.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to taking unique brand photos. You could try using unconventional poses, shooting in unusual locations, or using props in unexpected ways.

The most important thing is to be creative and have fun with it!

Show Your Work in Context

If you’re a product-based business, it’s important to show your work in context. This means taking photos of your products being used or worn. This will help potential customers to visualize how your products can benefit them.

You can show how your product is created or how you use it yourself?

By showing your work in context, you can help potential customers to connect with your brand and see the value of your products.

By following these tips, you can elevate your brand photos and create a visual identity that is both professional and memorable.

B-roll

Hi There!

Meet Maryanne

I’m a 40 (ahem something…) year old Yorkshire woman.

I’ve been self employed for 10 years (and a photographer for 18) and I totally understand how difficult it is to be visible in business.

Whether that’s because of a lack of self confidence, feeling a bit frumpy or the physical side effects of peri-menopause (hot sweats and forgetfulness anyone) – I promise you I’ve seen it all and still get great photos at every photoshoot.

I honestly feel so honoured when people book me, because they believe that I really want the best outcome for you. There’s no point having a fancy photoshoot if it doesn’t feel authentic to you.

My aim for every shoot is to get photos and video that you actually want to share… and I’ll be there in the side lines cheering you on!
