Today we’re looking at How to build a strong visual brand.
Building a strong visual brand can be a fun and creative process, even without mentioning the need to decide who your ideal client is!
Here are a few tips for building a visually appealing brand:
Make it quirky
Add a unique twist to your brand visuals, whether it’s a quirky colour palette, fun props, or playful poses. One of the best ways to stand out is to be uniquely YOU!
Use fun props
In your photos you could use very obvious props for your industry or you could just use things that you’re well known for.
Show your personality
Let your brand’s personality shine through in your visuals, whether it’s quirky, serious, or anywhere in between.
If you’re a naturally smiley person then having serious photos is probably going to look odd. Just as having a silly photo might be inappropriate if you’re a therapist dealing with serious matters.
Be consistent
Choose a consistent colour palette, typography, and imagery style, and stick to it across all your brand materials.
I have a client who’s a member of VISIBILITY SCHOOL who always includes her Branding photos. It’s really effective on her social media feeds and website.
Stand out
What you wear in your photos can make a big statement.
Whether it’s being known as the LinkedIn expert who always wears pink or the lady who likes hats or just including your brand colours in the photos. Your clothing can make an impact.
Get Video-y
Use video to tell your brand’s story and showcase your products or services, rather than relying on text and images alone.
Remember, a strong visual brand is one that accurately reflects your brand’s personality, values, and messaging, and that connects with your audience on an emotional level.
So have fun with it and let your brand’s unique personality shine through in your visuals!
