The biggest signs you need new brand images

Here are some of the biggest signs that you might need new brand images.

Repetition

You’ve been using the same images for a few years and even you’re sick of seeing that same old outfit and that same 5 photos that you’ve been using on repeat.

You’ve changed

Maybe your physical appearance has changed?

You could have a new hair colour, wear glasses now, or lost/gained weight. Do people still recognise you from the photos?

Just not happy with them

Perhaps you just never got on with your photos. It can happen to all of us. I remember attending a networking meeting once and getting a few headshots. I hated them.

The man taking them just didn’t get me at all. It happens.

Low-quality images

Poorly lit, blurry, or low-resolution images can detract from your brand’s professional image and damage your credibility.

We all have that friend or relative who’s got a great camera. You hurriedly get some photos, they’ll do when you’re just starting out. But as time goes on you notice the quality isn’t quite there (especially if you’re wanting to use them in PR and publications).

Irrelevant imagery

If your current brand images are not relevant to the products, services, or target audience you now serve, it may be time to create new ones.

Have you been using stock photos, but struggling to find ones that are specific to what you actually do or represent? Part of a Branding photoshoot can be creating stock images just for you.

Lack of personality

If you asked your friends whether the photos are really YOU – what would they say?

If your brand images are overly formal or lack personality, they may not be engaging enough to connect with your audience and communicate your brand’s unique personality.

Changing target audience

Maybe your business is expanding into a new market or demographic? Do you need to update your brand photos to appeal to this new audience.

This can help you connect with new customers and improve your marketing efforts too.

New products or services

If your business has recently added new products or services, it’s important to update your brand photos to reflect these changes. Basically this can help you showcase your new offerings and generate interest from potential customers.

Rebranding

If your business is going through a rebranding process, it’s essential to update your brand photos to reflect your new brand identity. This can help you launch your new brand with a fresh, updated look and create a bit of a buzz too!

If you’re experiencing any of these signs, it could be time to invest in new brand photos to help refresh your image and connect with your target audience in a more meaningful way.

B-roll

Hi There!

Meet Maryanne

I’m a 40 (ahem something…) year old Yorkshire woman.

I’ve been self employed for 10 years (and a photographer for 18) and I totally understand how difficult it is to be visible in business.

Whether that’s because of a lack of self confidence, feeling a bit frumpy or the physical side effects of peri-menopause (hot sweats and forgetfulness anyone) – I promise you I’ve seen it all and still get great photos at every photoshoot.

I honestly feel so honoured when people book me, because they believe that I really want the best outcome for you. There’s no point having a fancy photoshoot if it doesn’t feel authentic to you.

My aim for every shoot is to get photos and video that you actually want to share… and I’ll be there in the side lines cheering you on!
