My favourite branding designers (and why you need one)

My biggest piece of advise when you start designing your new website, is to work with a brand designer first.

Whether you’re going to DIY your WordPress Website or you’re getting a little help it makes such a huge difference.

How a Branding Designer can help…

Far from just creating a pretty logo, a brand designer will work with you to come up with a whole visual identity for you business.

This means its easy to translate the “look” on your website, your social media channels and any other interaction you have with clients.

It gives you an easy way to follow a plan and know that you’re consistent and showing your business in the best light.

It’s most definitely not just a pretty logo.

Why all this matters!

From personal experience I’ve found that simply finding a template you love and updating it to include your logo, your words and images doesn’t quite cut it. It’s just half the problem.

Yes you’ll have an attractive website, but the real magic happens when you insert a bit of personality. And thats how BRANDING DESIGNERS help.

You end up with a visually cohesive website that stands out from the other people who have simply bought a template.

So here are my favourite BRAND DESIGNERS. I’ve worked with some of them, and others I just hugely admire.

Mint Sauce Media

In their words…

Your brand strategy is the good stuff that makes your brand connect emotionally with those people you want to become your fans, it is your values and your mission, your tone of voice the position you own in the market. ⠀
⠀
If your brand is a Gin and Tonic, your logo is nothing more than a splash of tonic – and who wants to sit and drink tonic water?!⠀

Carol Hampshire – Soul Aligned Brand Designer

In Carol’s words:

Branding is saying to your audience.. this is who I am, this is what I’m passionate about & I am 100% confident that I can give you the results you want.

KDesign (and very soon SCHOOL OF BRAND)

In Kay’s words

Unfortunately there is no magic wand or mythical button on your keyboard when building your brand and branding, it takes time, planning and careful execution.

Branding by Juls – Brand/Design Strategist

In Juls’ words.

Branding isn’t just the visual aesthetics you create to represent your business. Branding connects with people on a subconscious and emotional level too.

The Branding Fox

In her words

Branding connects us with the emotions behind a business or product. We’re not always aware of it but the nuances in the font and colour choices, the style of the imagery used and shape of the logo, all play a part in how some of those connections with a brand are made. Of course, branding encompasses more than the visual identity but it is a very important part of connecting with your audience. As is how it makes you feel.

Just Brand You

In her words

“You don’t buy a life, you build one”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I mean, how true is that? And it’s the same with your brand and your business. It’s a journey. It takes time. It takes experiences, and wins, and losses and stories. It’s so much more than something you buy on Fiver.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

B-roll

Hi There!

Meet Maryanne

I’m a 40 (ahem something…) year old Yorkshire woman.

I’ve been self employed for 10 years (and a photographer for 18) and I totally understand how difficult it is to be visible in business.

Whether that’s because of a lack of self confidence, feeling a bit frumpy or the physical side effects of peri-menopause (hot sweats and forgetfulness anyone) – I promise you I’ve seen it all and still get great photos at every photoshoot.

I honestly feel so honoured when people book me, because they believe that I really want the best outcome for you. There’s no point having a fancy photoshoot if it doesn’t feel authentic to you.

My aim for every shoot is to get photos and video that you actually want to share… and I’ll be there in the side lines cheering you on!
