5 Ways to be more visible in your business

Here are my 5 ways to be more visible in your business. When there are hundreds of people offering similar services or products to you, how do you stand out?

Well I guess the simplest way is to just be you!

No one else can offer that and if you’re more visible in your business then people will begin to recognise you!

Here are 5 ways you can be more visible in your business:

Share more photos of you

Might seem pretty obvious coming from a photographer but sharing more photos of yourself can really help with visibility and engagement.

In fact earlier today I was working with a client, when my next client arrived early. Neither of them knew each other but they both recognised each other from their instagram photos. How much easier is that to start a conversation.

And like you hear often…people buy from people…let them know who you are so it’s a little bit easier.

Get involved in networking

If you want to be seen more in your business you might just have to step away from the computer and meet people in real life at networking events.

Or if thats just not for you join some online groups where at the very least you get to meet people.

Networking has so many benefits for your business.

Share more of what makes you, you!

It could be that you share why you do your job. Whats the story behind why you set up your business?

And you don’t always have to show a picture of you up close, staring at the camera. Personal branding shoots can include photos of you where you’re not the main focus. Perhaps sat having a coffee in a busy cafe or taking a walk in a park with your dog?

Show up and be kind

Theres a temptation not to get involved, to just scroll through post after post without giving your opinion or even just a little encouragement. But if you take the time to connect it’s worth its weight in gold.

Next time someone is looking for a coach, product or service they are more likely to remember you if they spoke to you!

Be Brave

This is easier said than done. But so many people avoid having their photo professionally taken because they don’t like how they look (or they want to lose weight first etc).

So then they avoid sharing pictures of themselves because all they have is a rare picture they like…taken 10 years ago on holiday!

But would that stop you meeting someone in person? Would you think…Im not going to meet this client today because I’ve got bad skin, I need to lose weight or my teeth are wonky.

If you work with a sympathetic photographer you might just have tons of images you’re actually happy to share

Hope you found these helpful. And if I haven’t mentioned it yet…check out my personal branding photography packages or have a look at how I could help you be visible all year round!

Hi There!

Meet Maryanne

I’m a 40 (ahem something…) year old Yorkshire woman.

I’ve been self employed for 10 years (and a photographer for 18) and I totally understand how difficult it is to be visible in business.

Whether that’s because of a lack of self confidence, feeling a bit frumpy or the physical side effects of peri-menopause (hot sweats and forgetfulness anyone) – I promise you I’ve seen it all and still get great photos at every photoshoot.

I honestly feel so honoured when people book me, because they believe that I really want the best outcome for you. There’s no point having a fancy photoshoot if it doesn’t feel authentic to you.

My aim for every shoot is to get photos and video that you actually want to share… and I’ll be there in the side lines cheering you on!
